A-DATA Vitesta DDR2-800 Extreme
"A-DATA has only been around since 2001, but in the past six years A-DATA has come to market with a number of DRAM memory products. Their current selection of products now range from Disney flash memory drives to desktop and notebook DDR2. For review today we have a 2GB kit of A-DATA's Vitesta DDR2-800 Extreme Edition memory. These memory modules are designed to operate at DDR2-800MHz with 4-4-4 timings or DDR2-1066MHz with 5-5-5 timings, and are backed by NVIDIA EPP support."
OCZ DDR3 PC3-12800 2GB 1600MHz Memory Kit Review
"OCZ Technology has been one of the front runners in the DDR3 memory market and today I will be taking a look at their 2GB 1600MHz Platinum Series performance memory kit. This kit will be very popular in upcoming months once the Intel X48 Express chipset hit the market as this chipset will support 1600MHz Front Side Bus (FSB) processors and 1600MHz memory clock frequencies from the get go. The kit that OCZ Technology sent out for review is the 2GB DDR3 PC3-12800 (1600MHz) Platinum Series Kit that is part Enhanced Bandwidth Edition. Since that is hard to remember, the part number is OCZ3P1600EB2GK.
Before we get into the details of this new OCZ memory kit, be sure to read our previous DDR3 memory articles to make sure you know what the changes in DDR3 are and how it performs compared to DDR2. "
Patriot 2x1GB PC3-15000 1866MHz DDR3 Memory Review
"From just about every angle possible, all the major DDR3 memory producers are throwing out some extreme frequency kits all vying for the performance crown. The honest truth about that crown is that it's often short worn and changes heads more often than Britney Spear change's her extensions. However, this doesn't rob that title or it's prestige by any means. As a matter of fact, this kind of competition continually raises the bar urging the development of better and better memory kits. And as long as this keeps going, you'll keep getting those coveted modules everyone talks about.
Right now, you can find a few different 1066Mhz DDR3 kits which are currently the best price if you're on a budget. The more extreme enthusiasts will reach for the 1600MHz kits which are also capable of 7-7-7 memory timings. If you are really willing to pay the premium, you can find some very serious 1800MHz DDR3 kits at places like Newegg that are obviously intended for one thing, overclocking! I guess if you really like to sport the top of the line memory modules whether you overclock or not, it's still considered to be extremely "pimp".
Well, I was sitting here one afternoon contemplating what could possibly be any better than an 1800MHz DDR3 memory kit that could help me melt down my E6600 and whichever motherboard to further compliment such a feat. To my surprise, Patriot Memory stepped up to the plate in good form with something better. As if 1800MHz wasn't plenty of speed right now, this team has been busy finalizing and currently offering the Patriot PC3-15000 2GB Kit. If you calculate that out (which can sometimes cause headaches), that's 1866MHz of raw memory frequency. How much memory bandwidth and performance does that offer? Let's go over the specifications and then find out."
