ePower EP-1200P10-T2 1200W Tiger Series XLR-Type Power Supply
"A few months ago a 1000W power supply seemed to be an overkill. However, nowadays, if you are building a top of the line high performance rig, a 1000W power supply is a necessity. With current high end video cards and processors on top of a number of hard drives, optical drives, sound and other cards, watercooling, etc., etc. you can end up pretty close to 1000W. What about folks that use 12-24 hard drives, RAID controllers, tons of RAM, server type motherboards with Dual or Quad multicore processors? That's where 1200W and 1300W power supplies come into play.

Today I'm going to review the ePower EP-1200P10-T2 1200W Tiger Series XLR-Type Power Supply, equipped with six independent +12V Rails, support of 8-Pin PCI-Express, 120mm fan, Active PFC, EZ plugs (XLR-Type) and more."

Cooler Master Real Power Pro 750W
"CoolerMaster may be better known for its processor heatsinks and extravagant cases, but the company has been selling power supplies for a while now with good results. Coolermaster's latest power supply is called the Real Power Pro 750W, and on paper at least the specifications are very impressive. It is rated for 750W of sustained power, 900W peak (this is what most manufacturers usually quote) with a typical efficiency greater than 80%. To top things off, the Cooler Master Real Power 750W comes with two eight-pin PCI Express 2.0 spec power connectors! These are the new kind of power connectors for tomorrow's generation of high end videocards.

With a retail price of $205 CDN ($190 USD, Ј96 GBP), the Cooler Master Real Power Pro 750W is a little expensive but hey if you're building a high end system there's nothing bad about investing in a good power supply too."
