Omega Catalyst Drivers will provide gamers with an alternate set of drivers, ones that have more options and features than the original sets. The drivers contain optimizations, extra features (like OC capabilities), more resolutions and internal tweaks that can give them the edge in a gaming enviroment over the normal drivers, which are often tailored for synthetic benchmarks. All Omega driver sets are tested to ensure maximum compatibility and reliability.

Latest Changes:
Updated the Omega version of RadLinker (1009), now the Profiler include options to enable TAA modes and to establish the desired TAA Threshold for D3D apps
Added and removed a LOT of tweaks, ATI changed some internal settings and some old tweaks won't work anymore from now on
Fixed support for Mobility 9700
Fixed the "Hibernation not working" problem in laptops
Added support for the Following laptop wide screen resolutions: 800x480, 960x600, 1024x600, 1024x480, 1280x600, 1280x768, 1280x800, 1680x1050, 1920x1200
Re-enabled a desktop wide resolution: 1280x768
Added an EXCLUSIVE new Omega utility which adds the ability to SWAP between the soft-mod and the normal driver without the need to re-install the whole drivers
Removed Artifact Tester 5 from the package
Included the latest version of ATI Tool
Started the new .cab distribution method. Use WinRAR or WinZIP to unpack

Кто их использует, на самом деле они лучше чем официльные? Стоит переходить?

Использую уже порядка 3-5 месяцев. Разницы в скорости не заметил. В качестве картинки тоже вроде. А вот то, что комп перестал в игрушке вылетать часто - это есть. Он правда и сейчас иногда вылетает, но гораздо реже!
(P4-2,8-1Г, Radeon 9800 Pro 128 + SimCity4)
P.S. Хотелось бы, конечно, послушать настоящих специалистов по этой теме, если таковые найдутся!

В последних change log'ах автор как-то основное внимание уделяет изменениям в программах-сателлитах и ни слова не говорит, что было конкретно изменено в оф.драйвере (помимо его новой системы нумерации версий ) Что-то было оптимизировано, добавлена поддержка Mobility Radeon и всё... IMHO просто перепакованные оф.драйвера с модифицированным inf-файлом и добавленными утилитами. Да еще и частенько с двухнедельным опозданием от оф.релиза

Known Issues:
*Some of the settings for both D3D & OGL will not be synchronized between ATT and the normal ATI CP, you must only use one of them to make changes, the best option is to use ATT since the ATI CP does not support changes to AI and in order to use the advanced D3D/OGL features. Changes made in ATT will work on games and such but the changes will not be reflected in the normal ATI CP since ATI stores the registry values that the CP reads separate from the actual values in the registry.

Important Info:
*Since these drivers include a non-standard version of ATT, I would recommend that if you have any previous version of ATT installed, please uninstall it before installing these drivers, not doing so may cause unknown problems.

[F] Reworked the settings for lots of cards, now the drivers should be more compatible with Mobility chipsets and others.
[+] Added a temporary fix to the AGP problems (some cards not working) until ATI releases an official fix.

Known Issues:
1) Since Overscan has been from the drivers, if you need to connect your PC to a regular TV that DOES need overscan in order to view it properly, you need to install the official CCC Control Panel from ATI after my drivers so you have access to the new "scaling" feature and scale the overscan to fit your needs.

А никто не сталкивался в последних версиях с блокировкой "Центр управления Catalyst Control Center"
Там должна быть нужная мне функция "Преобразователь видео AVIVO"
На старых версиях она есть, новые дрова ставлю - даже такой строки нет.
