The Microsoft® Mobile Internet Toolkit makes it fast and easy to build and maintain sophisticated mobile Web applications. The toolkit extends the Microsoft Visual Studio® .NET and the Microsoft .NET Framework so that you can build a single mobile Web application that automatically adapts the display and interaction for a wide variety of mobile devices, including Web-enabled cell phones, pagers, and PDAs such as the Pocket PC. The toolkit automatically generates the correct WML, HTML, and CHTML for the requesting device.
In addition to adaptive rendering, the toolkit provides the ability to customize rendering for specific devices and extend the toolkit functionality. Thus, developers can optimize the rendering for a specific device (for example, Pocket PC) or class of devices (for example, those that support HTML) within the same programming model. The toolkit's extensibility model empowers developers to create their own controls and add support for new devices.

эта штука сильно облегчает создание сайта для просмотра на разных мобильных девайсах(разные экраны, стандарты и т.д.). причем разработка ведется практически также, как и для обычного asp.net. т.е. есть поддержка .net framework, web controls ,VS .NET IDE и т.д.
