Stephan Torcy: May be resolved by a BIOS update, but in my case it did not stop the errors. It is safe to leave as it is just the OS stopping the motherboard's built in ACPI from accessing a certain port. This apparently improves system stability. See Q283649.
Anonymous: This is a bios design defect. Make sure you have latest bios for your motherboard. See "I/O Ports Blocked from BIOS AML on Windows XP"

Adrian Grigorof: From a newsgroup post: "Your problem is likely because you have on board USB enabled......Via's usb implementation is quite faulty. Solution: Get a Pci usb adapter, turn off via on board usb and your difficulties will disappear."
From another post: "According to MS this happens when you have a BIOS which is not 100% ACPI compliant. Obtain the latest firmware for your motherboard."
